assessments to the forefront.
“The great problem of modern education is data that is inactionable and unhelpful in truly reforming our system.”
Forefront Math leverages classroom assessment information to improve instruction, understand students better, and inspire action. Founded by David Woodward in 2009 while working as a math instructional coach in Colorado, our company intimately understands the teacher experience and the need for tools that help teachers collect, organize, and utilize classroom assessment results.
Our approach is unique. Rather than adding an extra layer of assessments, we forge partnerships with curriculum providers. We align each and every task from instructional materials with standards, define standards-based performance level bands, and continually calculate progress toward proficiency. Forefront® provides schools with a quick implementation that saves time and amplifies teachers’ efforts. Our tools elevate teachers’ work, preserve and organize the information they collect, inform instructional decisions, improve communication and reporting, and inspire professional development efforts.
It is possible: when teachers are provided with meaningful data, they better understand students, instruction improves, and schools become more effective.
